세이교단 오고세 교회에서 주일을 맞습니다. Sunday in Seikyodan church!오늘도 모든것을 주님께 포커스 하며 몸과 마음을 온전히 주님께 드리는 주일이 되기를 기도합니다.We prayed that we continue to focus on Jesus and worship with our clean and complete heart교회 주변의 풍경입니다.. 한국 지방도시 기분이죠?Scenery around church.. It feels like we are in small town in Korea주일예배를 위하여 VBS를 위하여 장식했던 것들을 앞쪽만 떼어내고  예배당을 다시 예배를 위한 세팅으로 바꾸었습니다.. We had to remove our decoration from "front side" for Sunday's service and set everything for Sunday's worship setting주일예배 안내를 하시는 성도님.. Welcome desk..이 자매님이 이 교회를 50년가 섬기고 계신다고 합니다. 목사님과 전도사님과 함께.. 시간이 더 있었으면 이분께 교회역사에 대해서 알수 있는 좋은 기회였는데 아쉽네요This lady has been member of this church for 50 years! It could been good to hear from her about this church history and her testimony but we didn't have time주보에 저희가 VBS마치고 찍었던 사진을 넣어서 VBS에 때한 설명을 하셨네요.Our VBS picture and explanation are in Sunday news letter! 예배는 꼭 한국의 시골교회의 모습과 비슷합니다.오늘은 사모님이 처음으로 말씀을 전하는 주일이라고 합니다. 장훈목사님이 찬양인도를 하시네요.저희팀은 4명은 예배를 여기 성도님들과 같이 드리고 나머지는 아이들과 VBS하면서 드렸습니다.4 of us joined Sunday's worship service and rest of them continued VBS with children 예배시간 VBS 발표회를 통하여 배운 찬양과 율동을 성도님들께 알려드렸습니다.Presentation time.. Children showed what they learned...팀들의 특송시간.. Special song by NCBC team"더 원합니다(Jesus I'm in love with you)"라는 일본 찬양을 일본말로 성도님들과 함께 나누었는데 벅찬 감동이 밀려오는 것을 느낄수 있었고 성도님들도 따라하며 주님께 같은 고백을 드렸습니다. 새누리 성도님들께는 일본단기선교 발표때 보여드리겠습니다!.We shared Japanese song(Jesus I'm in love with you) in Japanese.. It was such awesome feeling and many of us had tears in our eyes. Many of congregation sang along with us. We can't wait to show this to NCBC members later on!같은 시간에 아이들과 팀은 저희가 숙소로 사용했던 작은 교실에서 VBS를 합니다.While Sunday service is ongoing, rest of team continued day2 VBS.아이들과 물고기를 장식하며 예수님과 베드로의 관계를 설명하는 크리프트 시간..Jesus "Fish" craft time.. We explained relationship between Jesus and Peter where Peter betrayed Jesus but Jesus forgave him..주일 예배를 마친후에 본당을 다시 장식하고 VBS 오후 프로그램을 계속해서 진행했습니다.After Sunday worship service is over, we decorated main sanctuary again and continued rest of VBS program.이번 일본선교때는 예년보다 더 여러번 장식을 붙였다가 떼었다가 하게 되네요.. 다들 전문가가 되었습니다.In this year's Japan mission, we had to put decoration up and down several times. We became expert of put decoration up and down..창조 스킷을 아이들에게 보여주며 하나님이 세상을 창조하셨는데 우리가 죄를 지음으로 멀어지고 예수님의 보혈로 꺠끗해지며 주님을 영접하면 다시 깨끗하게 되는 성경스토리를 아이들에게 설명합니다. 이것은 나중에 하는 복음팔찌와도 연결이 됩니다.Creation Skit.. showing God created us but we sinned.. God sent Jesus to save us.  We can become God's child again by confessing our sin and accepting Jesus. This is also tied to "Evangelism bracelet" craft복음팔찌를 만들면서 다시한번 주님을 통한 구원을 설명하는 크래프트 시간Evangelism Bracelets.. We were be able to explain Salvation using color bracelet craft게임시간.. Game Time!주일예배를 마친 성도님들이 계속 남아서 아이들이 하는 것을 지켜보고 있습니다. 이중에는 이 교회를 다니지 않는 분들도 있습니다.Few of this church's member remained after Sunday service and watched. Also there are few who are not the member of this church발표시간, Presentation time레베카전도사님이 아이들에게 예수님에 대해서 더 알고 또 예수님을 따라 삶을 살고 싶은 사람은 손을 들라고 하니까 몇명의 아이들이 손을 들었습니다. 이 아이들이 이 교회를 통하여 잘 양육되고 교회를 섬기는 리더들이 될수 있기를 기도합니다.Pastor Rebecca asked children to raise hand if they wants to know more Jesus and follow him and few of them raised hands. Praying that these children will grow in this church and become leaders of this church in some day!아이들을 위한 축복의 기도시간..We had time of prayer blessing these children늦게까지 남아서 지켜보아주셨던 성도님, 그리고 학부모와 같이Few member of this church stayed till end.. Few parents as well. 이틀간 가까워진 아이들을 떠나야 하는 아쉬뭄이 많이 남습니다.We had good time with children and now we have to say "good bye"적은 인원이었기에 아이들과 아주 친밀하게 되었고 많은 것을 나눌수 있었습니다!Because there were less number of children, we really were be able to connect with them!이번에 통역으로 이쉬 전도사님이 많이 수고하여 주셨습니다. 이분을 완벽한 통역으로 아이들에게 복음을 더 깊이 전달할수 있었던것 같습니다.!We were such blessed to have Jr. pastor "Ishi Hide" with us in these VBS. He did all the translation for us and share our messages with children well because of him!마지막으로 이 교회와 목사님을 위해서 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 주님 이 교회를 귀하게 사용하셔서 이 지역을 복음화 하고 많은 성도들이 모여 주님께 예배드리는 교회가 되게 하여 주시옵소서!Finally, we prayed for this church and pastors. We prayed that God uses this church again and evangelize this area교회의 장식을 따 떼어네고 교회를 청소하고 다시 시부야교회로 돌아왔습니다.We had to remove all of decoration and clean up church and pack our stuff and back to Shibuya Church! Some of us had to use train to get back due to lack of cars늦은 시간이었지만 팀원전체가 서로 나누는 시간을 가졌습니다. 다들 아이들 한명 한명과 더 많은 시간을 보낼수 있어서 좋았고 또 일본선교에 대해서 새로운 생각을 가졌다는 분들도 있고... 모두 다시 올것 같은 기분입니다!We had time of sharing after got back to Shibuya Church! Everyone said they were blessed to have intimate relationship with children.. It seems most of us will return!짧은 시간이었지만 두지역에서 아주 다른 모양과 성격의 교회를 섬길수 있었습니다. 하나는 시내 중심가에서 일본에서는 꽤 크고 잘 자리를 잡고 있는 교회고 또 하나는 시골에서 다시 시작하고자 하는 젋은 교회인데 두 군데 다 주님께서 귀하게 사용하시고 계시는것 같습니다.In short period of time, we were be able to serve two different churches with two distinctive styles. One is in the middle of busy city and over 100 members(which is big in Japan), and the other in suburb area and very small.이 교회들이 일본에 부흥을 가져오는 데 귀하게 사용되기를 기도합니다.We prayed that Japan will witness revival of Christianity  이제 사역은 마치고 내일은 이지역을 둘러보는 시간을 갖고 화요일에 돌아갑니다.Our church ministries are over and we will have prayer walk time tomorrow. Then we will return to US on Tuesday.그동안 기도로 동참하여 주신 성도님들께 감사드립니다.Thank you supporting us with prayer!승주찬!

세이교단 오고세 교회에서의 사역 첫날입니다.1st day at Christ Seikyodan ogose church...어제는 밤늦게 도착해서 교회건물을 제데로 보지 못했는데 전통적인 교회건물이네요.We could not see whole building last night because we arrived late.. Very nice church building교회는 60년 정도 되었다고 하는데 이 건물은 1982년에 지어진 건물이니 41년 되었네요.This church is about 60years old and this building was built in 1982 so 41 years old building.. It still looks decent shape시부야교회는 시내 한복판에 있는데 이 교회는 같은 동경이라도 외곽에 있어서 시골교회같은 분위기 입니다.Shibuya church is in the middle of Tokyo but this church seems near country side even though address says Tokyo.정리정돈을 잘하는 일본의 국민성(!)을 좀 알수 있는 여기 부엌의 사진입니다. 시부야교회도 비슷했던것 같습니다.Picture of church's kitchen wall.. It shows some of Japanese's personality of organizing well.아침 큐티시간..Morning devotion time.. 이 교회에서 여름성경학교를 하는것은 60년만데 처음이라고 하면 이를 통해서 교회가 주위에 많이 알려지고 부흥할수 있기를 소망하신다고 말씀하십니다.Pastor Jang told us that this is 1st time doing VBS in this church's 60 years history and he is hoping that many people around here will know this church vis VBS오늘 팀의 기도제목은 여름성경학교가 교회의 부흥에 도움이 되도록, 또 오늘 만나는 어린이와 부모들이 주님을 알게 되는 기회가 될수 있도록..We prayed that our VBS can help this church's revival and children, parents can learn about Jesus조쉬가 체격을 자랑하듯이 옷을 입어서 무안을 주는 조원들...We were making fun of Josh who didn't wear VBS T-shirts yet..이틀전에 시부야교회에서 사역후에 생각보다 아이들이 적게 와서 조금 안타깝고 실망스러운 마음을 표현했었는데 회개하고자 합니다. I like to repent my comment in last posting, which I expressed disappointment(!) because there were less than expected number of children인원이 적고 많음이 문제가 아닌데 큰 많은 인원이 온 것을 성공적인 사역이라고 생각하는 것이 잘못되었음을 꺠닫게 되었던것을 아침 큐티시간에 팀원들과 나누었습니다.We think the more is the better and it is successful when there are more than expected. However, it is not important how many.. I shared this with team during QT하나님은 상황에 따라 많은 아이들을 보내실때도 있고 또 적은 인원을 보낼때도 있지만 인원이 중요한것이 아닌데 세상적인 기준으로 생각하였던 실수를 범했습니다.God can send more people when necessary and also send less people when necessary. Number is not God's but it is from secular thinking.이번에는 오히려 적은 인원이었기때문에 아이들 한명, 한명에게 더 친밀하게 다가갈수 있었고 복음을 더 잘 나눌수 있었던것 같습니다.In Shibuya VBS,  we were be able to connect with children better because there were small number of children.이곳에서는 더 작은 인원을 예상하고 있는데 오히려 더 좋은 기회로 삼아서 아이들에게 더 많이 나눠야겠다고 다짐하고 하루를 시작합니다.In this church, it will be even less than Shibuya and this could be opportunities to be connected more deeply with childrenVBS 준비를 위한 단장을 마치고 이제 아이들을 받을 준비를 합니다! Decoration is done and ready to welcome children!VBS registration started!VBS를 시작하기전 아이들과 서로 알아가는 게임시간.. Icebreaker game!!찬양으로 시작합니다. We started with praise. In this trip, we use all 5 VBS songs왼쪽이 이 교회에서 사역하시는 "장훈" 목사님입니다. 아들이 세명이시고 사모님도 목사님으로 같이 사역하시고요.Left is pastor "Jang" and he has 3 sons including 6months old baby. His wife is also pastor serving in this church학부모님(할머님) 두분과 어머님이 아이들을 보며 즐거워하시네요..Parents and grand-parents stayed entire VBS sessions and they followed some of praise song motionsGame... 레베카 전도사님이 게임룰을 이용하여 오늘의 설교를 시작하셨습니다.Pastor Rebecca was using game rule as sermon topic... 게임에는 룰이 있고 룰은 게임을 만든사람이 만든것이고 룰을 지켜야지 게임을 잘 할수 있드시 우리의 삶도 우리를 만드신 하나님의 말씀(성경)을 따라서 살을떄 우리는 올바른 삶을 살수 있다는 내용이 이번 여름성경학교의 주제입니다.All of games have rule and have to follow to be good at it. Rules were created by game creator. Same thing applies to our life. We were created by God and we need to follow rule of God(Bible) to live correctly.. This is the main topic of this year's VBS주님의 말씀을 들고 나아가는 것을 상징하는 가방 크래프트. Jesus's Messenger bag.. It implies we are God's messenger아비가 거의 다 만들어주고 있는것 같은데요... Looks like Abby is making for him!점심은 일식으로!!Lunch is Japanese!!!오후 게임시간, Afternoon Game time!종이컵쌓기 게임.. 인내와 스피드가 필요한 게임입니다.Cup stacking team relay, it needs patience and speed빈백 색갈 바꾸기 게임..Bean bag flipping game.. Two teams are trying to flip bean bag to same color(Black or Red)배 만들기 크래프트.. 베드로와 고깃배를 상징하는 게임입니다.Boat craft.. It implies fisherman Peter첫날의 사역을 함께한 어린이들, 교회목사님들과 새누리 팀.Children, pastors and NCBC team..맨 왼쪽이 사모님이시고 맨 오른쪽이 장훈목사님이십니다. Right most is pastor Jang and left most is his wife who also is pastor장훈목사님 왼쪽분은 시부야교회에서 전도사로 시무하시는 "이시" 전도사님으로 이번에 통역을 하기위해 이 교회까지 오셨습니다. 2시간 번정도 되는 거리에 사신다고 합니다. Left of pastor Jang is Jr. pastor from Shibuya church. He came to help us with translation and he lives about 2 hour and half away from this church사역이 끝나고 청소를 해야 하는데 안젤라가 피곤해서 자느라고 일어나질 않네요.. Angela fell asleep right after ministry and we didn't wan to wake her up so had to go around her with vacuum machine저녁예배때는 이 교회가 이 지역에 굳건하게 자리잡고 이지역을 복음화 시키는데 귀하게 쓰임 받기를 위해 기도하였습니다.Tonight's service, we prayed for this church to be used as cornerstone of evangelism in this area.젊은 목사님 부부가 열정과 함께 교회의 부흥을 위해 많은 기도를 하고 있는데 우리 모두의 지속적인 기도와 관심이 필요할것 같습니다.Two young pastors in this church have been praying for revival of this church and we need to continue to pray for this church이곳 교회가 처음으로 하는 VBS여서 조심스럽게 시작하였는데 적은 인원이었지만 아이들이 집중해서 참여하는 것을 볼수 있었습니다.This is 1st time VBS in this church so we didn't know what to expect. However, children were engaged right away and have been focusing very well.앞으로 이 교회에서 어린이 사역을 활성화시켜서 교회를 부흥시킬수 있기를 기도합니다.내일은 주일예배와 함께 VBS가 계속됩니다.We are joining this church's Sunday service and also doing VBS same time.온전한 주일예배와 VBS가 아이들을 예배의 자리로 인도할수 있기를 기도합니다.Praying for Sunday services. And also praying that VBS can lead children to Sunday worship in this church!승주찬, PTL! 

시부야 교회에서 VBS 이틀째이면서 마지막 VBS입니다. This is 2nd and also the last VBS at Shibuya Church.오늘은 아이들을 마지막으로 보는 만큼, 팀원들이 서로 하나가 되어서 더 신실하게 아이들을 섬길수 있게 해달라고 기도합니다.Today, as we see the children for the last time, we pray that our team members may become one and serve the children more faithfully오늘 새로 조인하신 VBS 도우미님들과 서로 소개하고 아이들에게 온전히 복음을 잘 전할수 있기를 기도하였습니다.There wee few new volunteers today so we introduce each other, and we prayed that we may be able to share the gospel wholeheartedly with children. cNCBC tea & Shibuya Church volunteers!어제에 수줍에 했던 아이들도 오늘은 더 잘 따라 합니다!The most of children were participated a lot better today than yesterday오리올 과자를 손을 대지 않고 먹기 게임.. 잘 안되네요 ^_^ 자신있게 나갔다고 꼴찌하고 돌아왔습니다. ㅋㅋEat Oriol without touching hands... It was a lot more difficult than I thought성경 스토리.. 베드로의 배신과 주님의 용서에 대한  동영상을 보고 있는 아이들.. 다들 집중해서 보고 있네요Peter made many mistakes but Jesus forgave him and used him to build His church. Thank you for delicious food!Game time!!Creation Skit을 통하여 죄와 구원에 대해서 아이들에게 설명하는 시간을 가졌습니다.We performed Skit called "creation" which explains God's creation and salvation through Jesus오늘은 학부모님들을 모시고 아이들이 배운것을 뽐내는 시간을 가졌습니다. Presentation by children.. 학부모중 여러명은 교회를 처음으로 오시는 분들이라고 합니다. 아이들과 학부모들이 이번 기회로 교회와 더 가깝게 되고 주님을 만날수 있기를 기도합니다.Many parents attended and this is first time visiting church for many of parents. We are praying that these children and parents meet Jesus someday!VBS에 참석한 아이들만 찰칵! Children only shot!이틀간 VBS를 함께한 아이들과 선생님들과 함께...Children and teachers!시부야교회에서 VBS 마치고 벽에 장식했던 데코레이션을 다 띠어서 차에 실고 두번째 교회인 Christ Seikyodanogose Church에 도착했을때는 9시가 거의 되었을 때 였습니다.After finishing VBS at Shibuya Church, we took down the decorations from the walls, packed them into the car, and arrived at the second church, Christ Seikyodanogose Church, around 9 o'clock이 교회는 이번이 처음으로 VBS하는 것이고 약 60여년 된 교회이지만 지금은 아주 소수의 성도들이 모여서 예배를 드리는데 이번에 VBS 통하여 교회의 큰 부흥을 기대한다고 목사님이 말씀하십니다.The pastor mentioned that this church, despite being around for about 60 years, is holding its first VBS this time. Currently, only a very small number of believers gather for worship. However, through this VBS, they are hopeful for a significant revival and growth in the church.내일 부터 VBS를 해야 하기에 바로 장식을 다시 해서 초스피드로 2시간만에 데코레이션을 완성하였습니다.VBS starts tomorrow morning so that we had to complete the decorations for the VBS tonight and we completed this in just 2 hours!데코레이션을 마친후 찬양과 예배를 드립니다.Even though it was late after finishing decoration, we could not stop for praise and worship!오늘을 돌아보며 나눔도 갖고 늦은 시간이었지만 주님의 주신 은혜에 감사가 넘치는 나눔의 시간이었습니다.We also had time of sharing and many team members thank to God for such wonderful time today!내일과 주일 이틀동안 이곳에서 VBS를 하게 됩니다.We are going to be here for next two days for VBS and Sunday worship교회 성도수가 적은 만큼 VBS 참석하는 아이들의 숫자도 아주 적을 것으로 예상을 하지만 그러기에 더 아이들에게 가까이 가서 복음을 잘 전할수 있는 기회가 되기도 합니다.Even though we will have small number of children, this will be good opportunity to share gospel with each of children more closely주님 아이들을 통하여 이 교회가 목사님이 기도하시는 바와 같이 크게 부흥하여 다시 예전처럼 많은 성도들이 주님을 찬양하고 예배하게 될수 있기를 기도합니다.We prayed that this is the chance for this church to be revived through this VBS and more people come to know and worship Jesus in this place승주찬! 오늘은 드디어 이틀간 준비한 VBS를 시작하는 날 입니다.Today is the 1st  VBS day we have been waiting for long time!아이들을 기다리며 설레이는 마음으로 하루를 시작하며 주님께 찬양과 기도를 드립니다.We started the day, praising and praying to the Lord, while waiting for the children with an excited heart, 오늘 아침의 큐티는 사도행전 15장 12절에서 29절 말씀입니다.This morning's devotion Bible verse is from Acts 15:12-29.사도행전 15장은 기독교역사에서  이방인의 구원에 대한 매우 중요한 결정은 하는 과정이 기록되어 있는 장입니다.The 15th chapter of Acts is a very important passage in Christian history, as it records the process of making a crucial decision regarding the salvation of the Gentiles이방인의 구원에 대한 논쟁을 사도들은 말씀에 근거하여 결정하는 것을 볼수 있습니다.We can see the resolution of the debate concerning the salvation of the Gentiles, based on the Scriptures.당시 사도들의 경험과 권위로 충분히 결정할수도 있었겠지만 말씀에 근거하여 중요한 결정을 하는것을 볼때 우리의 신앙생활에 있어서도 동일하게 적용되는것 같습니다. At that time, the apostles' experiences and authority could have been sufficient to make the decision, but Apostles made decision based on the Scriptures, it seems applicable to our own faith journey as well. 우리의 모든 결정이 우리의 경험과 생각에 의하지 않고 항상 말씀에 의지하는 훈련이 더 필요함을 느낌니다.We need to learn more to rely not solely on our experiences and thoughts but always on the Word of God for all our decisions.또 한가지 이번 일본단기선교에서 느끼는 점은 새누리교회의 CM, Youth 그리고 청년들의 신앙의 성숙도입니다.One other thing I noticed during this short-term mission trip to Japan is the maturity of faith among the members of NCBC Church, including CM, Youth, and young adults.조별 모임에서 어른과 아이들 섞어서 같이 나눔을 하는데 이들의 큐티 나눔의 깊이를 들으며 우리 아이들의 신앙의 성숙도 놀라며 앞으로 새누리의 장래를 걱정하지 않아도 되겠다라는 생각을 하게 됩니다!!During group gatherings, when adults and children come together to share and participate, hearing the depth of their heartfelt sharing and witnessing the maturity of faith in our children, I can't help but feel amazed. It makes me think that NCBC Church's future is in good hands as we move forward!VBS를 도와줄 일본인 선생님들과 먼저 만나 서로 소개하는 시간을 갖고 기도하는 시간을 가졌습니다.Many Japanese teachers will help us during VBS and we introduced each other and had a time of prayer together.시부야교회 현지 리더들도 있고 또 지금은 다른 교회를 섬기시는 분들도 계셨는데 멀리서 VBS를 섬기기 위해 오셔서 선생님겸 통역으로 수고해 주셨습니다.There were local leaders from Shibuya Church and also some individuals who are currently serving in other churches, but they came from afar to serve in VBS. They kindly worked as both teachers and interpreters for us.찬양과 율동으로 VBS를 시작합니다. We begin VBS with praise and dancing.이번에 팬데믹이후로 3년만에 처음으로 하는거라 조심스럽게 예년보다 훨씬 적은 인원만 등록을 받았다고 합니다.This is the first time since pandemic and it has been three years, so church cautiously planned with significantly fewer people compared to previous years.음향을 도와주시는 재일교포 자매님(This sister is Korean-Japanese and she helps with audio/video)오늘의 주제는 주님이 베드로를 부르고 또 베드로가 물위를 걷다가 빠지는 사건을 가지고 레베카전도사님이 말씀을 전하여 주셨습니다.Today's theme revolves around how the Lord called Peter and the incident where Peter walked on water but then began to sink. Pastor Rebecca delivered the message based on this event.첫날이라 영어로 자기 소개를 하는 것을 가르치고 발표하여 서로를 알아가는 시간들을 가졌습니다.Because it is 1st day, we had sessions where we taught and practiced introducing ourselves in English, followed by presentations to get to know each other.자기소개를 십자가 모양의 종이에 써서 발표하기위해 영어로 쓰고 있는 아이들.. The children are writing their self-introductions in English on cross-shaped paper to present them크래프트 시간.. Craft time주님의 메세지를 전하는 메신저 백 크래프트Messenger bag craft.. The messenger bag conveying the Lord's message carrier칼라 모래를 이용하여 장식하는 물고기 크래프트.. Jesus fish craft using colored sand게임시간... Game time!점심은 시부야교회 성도님들이 준비해주셨습니다!Today's lunch was prepared by members of this Shibuya Church!첫날의 VBS를 마치고 모든것을 잘 인도하신 하나님께 감사의 기도를 드립니다..After finished 1st day, we prayed to God who led everything!아이들을 보내는 송별식.. 내일 또 봐요!!!Sending ceremony, See you tomorrow!선생님들과 도우미들이 함께 모여 좋은 팀웍으로 첫날 VBS를 잘 마치게 해 주심에 감사드리고 또 간단하게 나누는 시간을 가졌습니다.We are grateful for the teachers and helpers coming together, working in great teamwork, and successfully completing the first day of VBS. Jin from young adult led praise tonight내일 먼저 미국으로 떠나는 백진영자매님과 아들 루카스가 그동안의 짧은 사역에 대해서 느낀점을 나누어 주셨습니다.Jin and Lucas are leaving tomorrow to US and they gave us their thoughts and feeling about VBS자매님은 짧은 단기선교를 조인할까 말까 고민했었는데 오길 잘했다고 하셨고 또 일본의 영적인 어둠움에 대해서 안타까움을 말씀해 주셨습니다.Sister Jin shared that she hesitated joining Japan mission team because it will be very short for them but she said that she is glad they joined. Also she expressed her sadness about the spiritual darkness in Japan루카스는 전도지를 나누어 줄때 거부하는 일본 사람들이 처음에는 미웠지만 나중에는 정말 필요한것을 그들이 모르고 거부하는 것에 대해 마음이 아팠다는 놀라운(!) 간증을 했습니다. Lucas shared a remarkable testimony.. Initially, he felt frustrated by the Japanese people's refusal when offering gospel tracts. However, later on, he experienced heartache, realizing that they were rejecting something they truly needed without even knowing it. This was incredible testimony for 12 year old child!12살밖에 먹지 않은 아이로서 이렇게 느낄수 있음은 성령님이 깨닫게 해 주시지 않으면 힘들것 같습니다. To feel this way at only 12 years old, it seems this was Holy Spirit's guidance and revelation계속해서 루카스가 주님을 모르는 사람들을 보며 이런 마음을 유지할수 있기를 기도해 봅니다.I pray that Lucas can continue to maintain such a heart while looking at people who do not know Jesus서로를 위해 기도해주는 시간을 가지고 오늘도 늦게 하루를 마무리 합니다.We took time to pray for each other몸이 많이 지쳤지만 오늘 하루 짧지만 편안함을 허락해주시길 간절히 기도합니다.We also prayed that God will give us good rest tonight so we can fully recover일본에 도착하기전 부터 준비하고 계획했던 VBS 첫날을 마치고 나니 조금 아쉽고 안타까웠던 점들도 많았지만 오늘 하루를 귀하게 사용하셨을 주님께 감사기도를 드리지 않을수 없습니다.After completing the first day of VBS, which we had prepared and planned for since before arriving in Japan, there might have been some disappointments. However, I can't help but offer a prayer of gratitude to the Lord, as He have used this day meaningfully내일도 모든것을 주님께 맡기고 나아가고자 합니다. 주님 인도하여 주시옵소서.May we continue to entrust everything to the Lord and move forward with His guidance. May the Lord lead us and be with us.내일은 이곳에서 VBS를 마치고 이곳을 정리하고 한시간 정도 떨어진교회로 이동합니다.Tomorrow, we will conclude VBS at this location, clean up the place, and then move to a church about an hour away.짐도 다 챙기고 또 이곳에 장식했던 것들을 따 떼에서 그곳에 가서 다시 장식을 해야 하는 긴 일정인데 잘 마무리 할 수 있도록 기도부탁드립니다.Please pray for us that we can successfully finish well here, and pack our belongings, detaching decorations from this place, and then redecorating them at the new church.승리하신 주님을 찬양합니다.Praise The victorious Lord! 

시부야 교회에서 두번째 날입니다. Today is the second day at Shibuya Church 오늘 아침도 큐티를 통하여 오늘 주신 말씀을 나누고 오늘 사역을 위해 기도로 준비하는 시간으로 시작하였습니다.As always, we began with a devotional time, sharing the word given for today, and praying for today's ministry.  어제 시작하였지만 마무리 못한 VBS를 위한 데코레이션을 하였습니다.We continued decorations for the VBS that we couldn't finish yesterday. 교회를 처음 오는 아이들도 많은 만큼 최대한 정성을 드리고 또 아이들을 VBS에 관심을 가지고 몰입할 수 있도록 본당과 소그룹방을 다 이번 VBS theme인 Twist and Turn으로 장식하였습니다.As there are many children visiting the church for the first time, we put forth our utmost effort to decorate both the main hall and small group rooms with the VBS theme "Twist and Turn." Our goal is to create an environment where children can show interest and fully immerse themselves in the VBS program.  크래프트를 위한 준비.. Craft material preparaton..이곳이 아이들이 들어오는 통로입니다.  이곳의 데코레이션은 유스 아이들이 맡았습니다.This is the main hallway for children. Youth group members are the responsible for this area and they have been doing great job!VBS때 게임에서 사용하는 Bean bag을 만드는 Josh & GabbyJosh and Gabby is preparing for bean bags for VBS game time 예배당과 교실 장식이 다 완성되었습니다!!Main Sanctuary and Class Room decoration are done!일본사람들은 정리도 잘하고 디테일을 중요시하는 만큼 VBS장식에도 디테일에 많은 신경을 썼습니다.We paid a lot of attention to detail in decorating for VBS because Japanese people are known for their tidiness and attention to details.  오후에는 걸어서 10분정도 걸리는 시내로 나가서 노방전도를 하였습니다.In the afternoon, we went out to the city, which was about a 10-minute walk away, to do street evangelism.  노방전도에서 영어로 대화가 되지 않을 경우를 대비해서 전도팔찌와 일본어로 설명서를 같이 넣어서 준비했습니다.To prepare for situations where English conversations might not be possible during street evangelism, we also included Gospel bracelets and explanatory materials in Japanese.  일본 단기선교에서는 처음으로 하는 노방전도에 설레임과 두려운 마음을 가지고 나갑니다.This is the first time doing street evangelism in Japan mission so we head out with excitement and a mix of nervous feelings 시내 한복판에 도착하여 시부야교회의 일본인 전도사님으로 부터 간단한 설명을 듣고 조를 나누어서 노방전도를  시작합니다.Upon arriving at the heart of the city, we received a brief explanation from the Japanese Jr. pastor from Shibuya Church and then divided into groups to begin street evangelism 교회 Flyer도 돌리고 전도팔찌도 나누어주고...We distributed church flyers and shared Gospel bracelets as well... 열심히 전도지를 나누어 주고 있는 Lucas와 JaydenLucas and Jayden are diligently handing out evangelistic pamphlets. 특히 12살인 Lucas는 지칠줄 모르고 계속해서 전도지를 나누어 줍니다.Especially 12-year-old Lucas tirelessly keeps distributing the evangelistic pamphlets without getting tired. 노방전도를 마치고 저녁식사후에 찬양과 예배를 드리고 오늘 하루를 돌아보며 나누는 시간을 가졌습니다.After finishing street evangelism, we had dinner, followed by a time of worship and praise. We reflected on the day and had a sharing session. 다들 전도지를 거부하는 마음이 많이 닫혔 있는 일본 사람들을 보면서 안타까움과 함께 하나님의 간섭하심이 필요함을 절실히 느꼈습니다.While seeing many closed hearts among the Japanese people, who often reject the evangelistic pamphlets, We all deeply felt a sense of sorrow and the urgent need for God's intervention. 그렇지만 오늘 전도지와 복음 팔찌를 받은 이분들의 마음을 주님이 만져주시길 간절히 기도합니다.However, today, I earnestly pray that God touches the hearts of those who received the evangelistic pamphlets and the Gospel bracelets. 내일 VBS를 위한 최종점검...Final Prep time.. 스킷 연습... VBS Sample preparation 이제 모든 준비가 끝나고 내일 아이들을 기다립니다.Now that all the preparations are done, we are looking forward to welcoming the children tomorrow. 이번에는 아이들의 숫자가 많지 않은 만큼 아이들과 더 친밀한 관계속에서 복음을 잘 나눌수 있기를 기대합니다.Since the number of children is not large this time, we hope to share the Gospel in a more intimate relationship with them. 오늘 힘든 노방전도를 하면서 주님이 주신 귀한 교훈이 있습니다.Through today's challenging street evangelism, there is a precious lesson that the Lord has taught us. 시내에서는 말 한마디도 건네기 힘들었지만 내일 부터 하는 VBS는 아이들과 아주 많은 시간을 같이 보내며 마음껏 복음을 나눌수 있습니다. In the city, it was difficult to even say a word, but starting from tomorrow's VBS, we will have ample time to spend with the children and freely share the Gospel with them. 주님은 우리가 내일부터 하는 VBS 귀중한 시간으로 여기고 복음을 담대히 전하라고 말씀하십니다.The Lord is telling us that the upcoming VBS as a precious time and encourages us to boldly share the Gospel. 오늘도, 승리하신 주님을 찬양합니다!Again, we praise the victorious Lord!

일본은 새누리교회가 2013년에 시작하여 매년 단기선교를 가고 있었던 지역이었는데 팬데믹으로 지난 3년동안 중단되었다가 2023년 3년만에 다시 갑니다.Japan was a region where NCBC Church had been conducting short-term missions every year since 2013, but due to the pandemic, it was suspended for the past three years. However, in 2023, after a three-year hiatus, they are going again. 많은 사람들이 일본으로 선교를 가는것을 의아해하기도 합니다. 그러나 일본은 참으로 특이한 나라입니다. IMB에서도 일본을 선교의 대상국가로 지정하여 선교사를 많이 파송하고 있는 나라입니다. 대부분의 선진국들은 크리스쳔들이 상당히 있고 또 크리스쳔에 대한 박해가 거의 없는데 일본은 기독교인이 1%도 안되는 선교대상 국가이고 또 아직도 종교 박해가 있으며 또 복음을 전하는것이 쉽지 않은 나라입니다.Many people find it puzzling that missionaries go to Japan. However, Japan is truly a unique country. Even the IMB (International Mission Board) has designated Japan as a target country for missions, sending many missionaries there. While most developed countries have a significant Christian population and little to no persecution of Christians, Japan is a mission target country where Christians make up less than 1% of the population. Additionally, religious hardship still exists, and spreading the Gospel in Japan is not an easy task. 이번에 15명의 단기선교팀원중 한국에서 조인하시는 두분을 제외한 13명이 새누리교회의 파송기도를 받고 샌프란공항을 출발하였습니다. This time, out of the 15 short-term mission team members, excluding the two who joined from Korea, the remaining 13 received the sending prayer from NCBC Church and departed from San Francisco Airport. 특히 이번 팀은 CM, Youth, EM, 청년부 그리고 장년이 참여하셔서 새누리교회 전체를 대표(!)하는 단기팀인것 같은 느낌이 드네요.. 이렇게 모든 년령대들이 함께하는 단기선교가 새누리교회의 단기선교의 특징이 아닌가 합니다. Especially this time, the team consists of members from CM (Children's Ministry), Youth, EM (English Ministry), the Young Adult Ministry, and the Adult Ministry, giving the impression of representing the entire NCBC Church! This is the one of uniqueness of NCBC short-term team, where participants come from all age groups. 이번 선교일지는 영어권팀원들이 많아서 영어 번역을 같이 추가합니다(번역은 ChatGPT를 사용했습니다).For this mission report, we will also include English translations as there are many English-speaking team members(with help of ChatGPT) 12시간 반의 비행 시간인만큼 비행기 안에서 과제도 많습니다.With a flight duration of 12 and a half hours, there are also many tasks to complete inside the airplane. 성경구절 5개, 큐티 이틀분, 그리고 사도행전 읽기등.. 탑승을 기다리면서 성경암송을 준비합니다.Preparing for Bible memorization, including five Bible verses, two days' worth of devotionals, and reading the book of Acts... While waiting for boarding, we get ready for Bible recitation. 토쿄 나리타공항에 도착후 아무도 아프지 않고 잘 도착하게 하여주신 주님께 감사기도를 드렸습니다.After arriving at Tokyo Narita Airport, we offered a prayer of thanks to the Lord for a safe and healthy arrival for everyone.공항버스를 타고 시부야교회로 이동하면 늦게 도착하게 되어서 저녁은 공항에서 간단하게...Taking the airport bus to Shibuya Church would result in a late arrival, so we had a simple dinner at the airport...공항버스에 26개의 짐을 실고..Bringing along 26 pieces of luggage on the airport bus  공항버스 정류장에서 교회까지는 한 10분정도 거리이지만 가방 26개를  끌고 골목길을 오리고 내리고...From the airport bus stop to the church, it's about a 10-minute walk, but carrying 26 bags, we had to navigate through narrow alleys, going up and down... 나중에 사역을 마치고 가방의 숫자를 줄이기 위해서 이민가방을 많이 가지고 왔는데 이렇게 이동하는데는 힘드네요....In order to reduce the number of bags after the ministry, we brought many migration bags, but it's very challenging to move around like this ... 드디어 시부야 교회에 도착!!! Finally, we arrived at Shibuya Church!!! 빌딩들과 주택들이 있는 가운데 우뚝 서있는 교회가 자랑스럽습니다. Amidst the buildings and houses, the church stands tall and we feel very proud of seeing "Cross"!기독교인구가 1%도 되지 않고 아직도 복음전파가 쉽지 않은 일본에서 보기 쉽지 않은 교회입니다.It is a church that is not easy to come by in Japan, where the Christian population is less than 1% and spreading the Gospel is still not easy. 교회에 도착하니 그동안의 피곤이 다 풀리는 듯 합니다!!!Upon arriving at the church, it feels like all the fatigue from the journey is all gone!!!교회에 모여 시부야교회 3대 담임목사님이신 김영길 목사님이 환영의 말씀과 일본의 기독교 현황과 교회에 대한 설명을 해 주셨습니다.Gathering at the church, Pastor Kim Young-gil, the 3rd Senior Pastor of Shibuya Church, warmly welcomed us and provided an introduction to the current state of Christianity in Japan and an explanation about the church.2013년부터 새누리교회에서 단기선교팀을 보내주셔서 이 교회가 이지역에서 많이 알려지고 굳건히 설수 있는 힘이 되었는데 지난 3년간 공백후에 다시 와주심에 감사하다고 팀과 교회전체에 감사의 말씀을 전해달라고 하셨습니다.Since 2013, NCBC Church has been sending short-term mission teams, which has greatly contributed to the church's visibility and solid presence in this area. After a gap of the past 3 years, Pastor Kim expressed gratitude for the team's return and asked us to convey his thanks to the entire team and the church for coming again. 요즘 일본이 복음을 전하기가 더 힘들어졌는데 특히 작년 아베수상 피격사건으로 인해 더 기독교에 대한 의식이 안좋아졌다고 합니다. 일본의 교회들을 위해서 기도를 더 많이 해야할 때인것 같습니다.These days, it has become more challenging to spread the Gospel in Japan, especially after the Abe assassination incident last year, which negatively affected people's perception of Christianity. It seems like a time when we should pray more for the churches in Japan.오늘 하루를 잘 인도하신 주님을 찬양하고 감사하는 예배와 나눔의 시간..Praise and thanksgiving during the worship service and a time of sharing, celebrating the Lord's good guidance throughout the day... 이번에 첫 선교를 일본으로 와서 설레임과 기쁨이 있음을 나누기도 하고 또 삶에서 신앙생활이 조금 느슨해지는 것을 느꼈는데 이번 선교를 통해서 다시 힘을 얻고 전도에 힘쓰기를 바랜다는 나눔도 있었습니다.One member shared that this is her first mission trip and there were moments of excitement and joy. Another member shared that there was slight weakening in spiritual life and she is praying to regain strength and rededicate herself to evangelism through this mission trip. 특히 도시 한가운데에 있는 교회에서 사역을 하다 보니 주위 환경때문에 방해가 될수도 있기에 더욱 많은 기도가 필요함을 전도사님이 강조하십니다.Especially while serving in a church located in the heart of the city, the missionary emphasizes the need for even more prayer because the surrounding environment could potentially be a hindrance. 예배가 끝나고 몸은 피곤하지만 VBS 사역을 위하여 교회를 장식하였습니다.After the worship service, although our bodies were tired, we decorated the church for VBS (Vacation Bible School) ministry. 지난달 새누리교회에서 했던 VBS와 같은 Theme으로 하기에 교회에서 사용했던것들을 많이 가져다가 다시 사용하였습니다.We used the same theme as the VBS held at NCBC Church last month, so we brought many things used in the church and reused them 피곤한 몸에도 자정까지 사역준비를 마치고 잠을 청합니다..Despite our tired bodies, we spent time preparing for the ministry until midnight and then retire to rest 일본에서는 항상 그러하드시 이번에도 교회 교실들이 저희 숙소입니다...As always in Japan mission, the church classrooms serve as our accommodations as well...  시부야에서 첫날을 보내며 앞으로 주님이 보여주실일들이 기대가 됩니다.As we spend our first day in Shibuya, we look forward to what the Lord will reveal to us in the days ahead. 오늘 큐티는 사도행전 14장 19절에서 28절까지입니다.Today's devotional passage is Acts 14:19-28. 사도 바울이 루스드라에서 복음을 전할때 안디옥과 이고니온에서 온 유대인들이 사도 바울을 돌로 쳐서 죽을정도가 되어서 성밖으로 버려졌는데 바울을 다시 일어나 더베로 가서 복음을 전하는 구절을 묵상하며 바울의 그런 강한 담대함과 믿음으로 이번에 단기선교에 임하고자 하는 기도제목을 나누었습니다.When the Apostle Paul was preaching in Lystra, Jews from Antioch and Iconium stoned him, thinking he was dead. However, Paul got up and went to Derbe, continuing to proclaim the Gospel. Meditating on this passage and inspired by Paul's remarkable boldness and faith, we shared prayer topics for this short-term mission, seeking to approach it with the same courage and conviction 오늘 모든것을 이끄신 승리하신 주님을 찬양합니다.Today, we praise the victorious Lord who has led us in everything. 

[오늘은 11월 29일] 사역을 마치고 밤 기차를 타고 오는 관계로 인터넷이 되지 않아 이렇게  늦게 소식을 전합니다!] 소식이 조금 늦은 내용도 있지만...   빔 빠라라 마을 (라제쉬전도사가 사역하는 마을): 작년 세례를 받은 꼬우식의 가족이 살고 있는 마을을 방문해서 꼬우식의 가족과 주변 집들을 다니며 전도하는 사역을 감당했습니다.   꼬우식도 오늘 휴가를 얻어서 동행하였습니다.  동네를 가는 길은 비 포장에 매우 꼬불 꼬불한 아주 시골이었는데 꼬우식의 부모님 집에 도착했을떄는 인도 시골 마을중에선 괜찮은 동네에서 살고 있었습니다. 꼬우식은 세례를 받았지만 아직 식구들은 주님 영접을 하지 않아서 저희와 손 선생님을 초대해서 전도를 부탁했었던 것입니다. 꼬우식 가족을 모아놓고 선생님과 진원자매가 복음을 전하는 동안 형제들은 주변 집을 돌며 가정방문 전도를 하였습니다. 그중 한가정의 자매들을 4 영리서를 가지고 전도를 하였는데 영접을 한다고 해서 손 선생님께 데리고 와서 영접기도까지 하게 되었습니다. 할렐루야!   점심은 꼬우식의 형님이 준비해준 음식으로 했습니다. 꼬우식의 형은 처음에는 우리를 오지 못하게 했었는데 생각이 바뀌어서 오는것을 허락하고 또 점심까지 만들어주는 등 여러가지 변화가 있었음을 들으며 이 가족이 주님의 사랑하는 가정이 되리라는 믿게 됩니다.   점심후에 2시간 30분을 운전하고 가서 자따하라 근교에 있는 마을에 도착했습니다. 이 마을은 2년전에 침례를 받은(7번이나 물속에 들어갔다 나온 분) 초떼랄이 인도하는 교회 옆에 있는 마을로서 초떼랄이 이곳에도 전도를 시작한 마을인데 팀원들의 간증과 사영리서를 가지고 어른들과 아이들을 전도를 했습니다.     원럐 계획은 마을을 오늘 3군데 마을을 다니면서 전도를 할 예정이었지만 두번째 마을의 사역을 마치고 시간이 너무 늦어져서 저녁식사및 밤 기차를 타기위해 3번째 마을은 가지 않고 아쉬운 마음을 뒤로 하고 2시간 30분을 달려 알라하바드에 돌아왔습니다. 돌아오는 데 교통체증이 너무 심해서 만약 세번째 마을을 갔었가면 기차를 놓칠 수 도 있었던 상황이었습니다. 이렇게 일정을 조정해준것도 하나님의 은혜인것 같네요. 이제 기차를 9시간 30분을 타고 델리로 돌아갑니다.   기차 안에서 휴식을 주심을 감사드리며…  

류가사키를 떠나는 날이 이렇게 빨리 올줄 몰랐지만, 또 새날을 주신 주님께 감사와 찬양을 드리며 소망 가득한 하루를  시작합니다. 아침 예배와 아침 식사를 마치고 교회 전체를 장식했던 VBS 장식들을 떼어내고 교회를 정리하고 청소하고 주일 예배를 드리실수 있도록 예배당 정리를 하고 교회 주변 동네를 걸으며 이 땅의 영혼들을 주님께 올려드리는 땅 밟기 기도를 했어요. 지진의 두려움 때문인지, 악한 영들의 영향이 크기 때문인지 일본에는 유독 정신과 치료를 받는 사람들이 많다고 해요. 정말 이 땅에 주님의 십자가의 사랑과 보혈이 덮어지길 간절히 기도합니다. 땅 밟기 기도를 마친 후에 교회로 돌아와 저희가 준비한 작은 선물과 헌금, 그리고 우리 모두의 사진과  메세지가 들어있는 액자를 목사님과 교회에 전달해 드렸습니다.   몸이 힘드셔서 그전처럼 많이 못 도와주셨다고 미안해 하시는 목사님, 그리고 우리 팀과 새누리 교회에 감사의 말씀을 하시는 목사님.   사진 속의 얼굴들과 메세지들을 하나 하나 읽고 계신 혜림 사모님. (이분이 바로 이요한 목사님의 누님이세요)   헤어짐의 아쉬움을 삼삼오오 모여 사진 찍는것으로 달래는 팀원들과 류가사키 교회 성도님들. 오른쪽에서 두 번째 리리 짱이 내일 주일에 처음으로 유스예배 찬양 인도를 하게 되어서 긴장하고 있는 중이에요.   왼쪽에서 두 번째 레이카 짱은 교회에 온지 한 달 가량 밖에 되지 않았지만 친구들도 좋고 이유는 알수 없어도  하나님이 좋아서 교회에 자꾸 오게 된데요.     이암 형제님과 수미 전도사님 옆에 계신 리나 자매님은 2년 전에 새누리의 열방 목장에서 저희들과 같이 일년간 예배하신 분들인데요, 두 분다 의사시라 휴가 스케줄을 맞추기가 쉽지 않으셨어요. 그래도 주님 음성에 순종하시고 아들과 딸을 다 데리고 류가사키로 오셨어요. 시부야까지는 함께 하지 못하지만 귀한 순종을 주님이 기뻐하시리라 믿어요. 그나저나 4학년 아들 형규가 내년에도 꼭 일본 선교를 오겠다고 해서 아들 덕분에 매년 선교 오시게 되는건 아닌지...ㅎ   사진 왼쪽은 류가사키 교회의 큰 일꾼, 명희 자매님이세요. 가운데는 하야시 장로님 사모님이신데 성함을 여쭤보시 않았네요. 두 분다 선교팀을 사랑으로 섬겨주시는데 특히 이번에 명희 자매님 친정 어머니께서 예수님을 영접하시고  구원을 받으셨어요. 주님의 위대한 구원사역에 저희 션교팀을 사용해 주신 주님께 감사와 영광을 드립니다.   시부야로 떠나기 전 교회 앞 마당에서 찰칵! 차를 타고 주차장을 빠져 나가면 큰 길까지 아이들이 나가서 서있다가 우리 차를 향해 열정적으로 손을 흔들어 주며 뛰어서 따라와요. 이런 환송을 어디가서 받아보겠어요.. 사랑과 정이 많은 류가사키 성도님들.. 이번 해에도 감사했습니다.  내년까지 주님과 함께 승리하시길 기도합니다.
