Hello The WAY parents,The Lord is RISEN!This has to be the greatest and best news of all time that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is RISEN.As a gospel song sings,Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,Because He lives, all fear is gone;Because I know He holds the future,And life is worth the living,Just because He lives!What a joy is it to know and believe that our Lord Jesus has defeated the grave and conquered death.The Resurrection of Jesus assures us the forgiveness of our sin, the redemption and the salvation of our soul, and the eternal hope of our glory in God.We sincerely hope and pray that you and your entire family solely and unswervingly believe in this truth and historical event.The fact of the resurrection is perhaps the most indisputable fact of all of ancient history, based on evidences and testimony of eye witnesses. There is still the empty tomb of Jesus.There were more than 500 eye witnesses who testified that they had seen the risen Jesus in every physical way possible.And, there is the most convincing evidence of all (in my point of view) - the changes that took place in the hearts and lives of the disciples who had actually denied and abandoned Jesus when he was arrested and crucified.The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not merely a historical fact but a life changing and a heart transforming truth which turns one's life upside down and changes oneself from inside out.So, let us rejoice over this greatest day in history!1 Corinthians 15:3-83 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. 고린도전서 15:3-8내가 받은 것을 먼저 너희에게 전하였노니 이는 성경대로 그리스도께서 우리 죄를 위하여 죽으시고장사 지낸 바 되셨다가 성경대로 사흘 만에 다시 살아나사게바에게 보이시고 후에 열두 제자에게와그 후에 오백여 형제에게 일시에 보이셨나니 그 중에 지금까지 대다수는 살아 있고 어떤 사람은 잠들었으며그 후에 야고보에게 보이셨으며 그 후에 모든 사도에게와맨 나중에 만삭되지 못하여 난 자 같은 내게도 보이셨느니라What's happening:FNF (Friday Night Fellowship)*Please send your child to our FNF for time of sharing lives and relationship building. 6:30~7:20 Dinner7:20~8:15 Small Group8:15~9:30 Weekly Activity4/3 - Good Friday Service*Students are encouraged to do a 24 hour fasting starting from 6:30 pm Thursday till 6:30 Friday. We are going to break the fast together before the service (@7:30). Mrs. Son and the PTA will prepare a suitable meal.4/10 - Church Revival4/17 - Celebration Night for April Birthday4/24 - Play NightSunday Worship and Small Group Ministry*We just wrapped up the second unit ("Ready") of our 12-week long curriculum this past Sunday.**We are going to start a new curriculum based on a book called "Follow Me" by David Platt starting Sunday, 4/19, for 6~7 weeks.Special Note to ParentsThank you all for your support and prayer during these past 3 weeks while we covered some of most sensitive and controversial issues in our society. Both Pastor Jamie and I learned and gained a lot personally while preparing, preaching, and teaching over these topics.The students and the teachers, likewise, had a very informative and insightful time.Please continue to pray and TEACH your children the importance of reading and meditating of the Bible as well as submitting themselves under the authority of God's Word.An important news to all parents:Starting from Sunday, 4/19 till end of May (for 6 weeks), we are going to separate the middle school students and the high school students during the message time.The reason for the change is to see how our youth ministry would look like if and when divided into a middle school ministry and a high school ministry. This is only a "test-run" until the Summer begins in June.For first 3 weeks, Pastor Jae will preach to the middle school students and Pastor Jamie will preach to the high school students.For last 3 weeks, Pastor Jae and Pastor Jamie will switch and preach to the different group.After the opening praise, the middle school students will move to the Choir Room and finish their worship there.Road to Discipleship (R2DII) (제자양육)Thank you so much for your support and prayer.1) R2DII D.F.D. (Designed For Discipleship) - meets Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30- led by Pastor Jae - 6 students (2 from the 7th and 4 from the 6th)2) R2DII Multiply Journey 1- meets Sunday from 2:30 to 5- led by Pastor Jamie- 7 students (2 from the 7th, 1 from the 8th, 3 from the 9th, 1 from the 11th)2015 Summer Mission for The WAY*The dates have been MOVED ONE WEEK from the original dates.Place: MexicoDate: Sunday 6/28 ~ Saturday 7/4*There will be an information meeting on Sunday, 4/12, @ 1:30 pm. in Hope Chapel for both parents and students who are interested in joining the team this year.2015 Horizon Youth Joint Summer RetreatPlace: Alliance Redwood Conference Ground (Sonoma County)Date: Monday 7/20 ~ Thursday 7/23Other NewsRoad to Damascus (R2DI) The WAY Membership ClassWe are offering our membership class for our students every first Sunday/Saturday of the month.Living Life and Sena subscription for 2015Please encourage your children to spend a daily devotional time through God's word.Our student leaders go through Living Life/Sena. *If your child is in our student leadership, please send the subscription fee of $30. **Many of them haven't submitted the payment yet.If you'd like to subscribe Living Life (recommended for high school and above) and Sena (recommended for middle schoolers), please sign up with us ASAP along with a 6-month subscription fee of $30.Easter Sunday BaptismThere is going to be a time of baptism during the Easter Sunday Worship (4/5).Please let us know if your child would like to be baptized.The baptism class is on this Saturday @ 9:30 am.Thank you.
