Hello Everyone,
Happy Tuesday~
As this past Sunday was Mission Sunday, I shared messages regarding missions at both worships!
•1st Session... "Mission Possible!" (Luke 24:47-48)
"Mission Impossible" is a movie, starring Tom Cruise, that is a spy story with lots of mystery and excitement. Tom received an assignment that seemed impossible to accomplish, but he was always able to complete the mission with the super secret agents who have special talents.
We all have been given a mission by Jesus. Our mission is to tell the whole world about Jesus' love and forgiveness. And we are not alone to do it. The church, like the "Impossible Mission Force," is made up of many people. Each of us has been given special talents to help accomplish the mission. If we choose to accept our mission, then "Mission Impossible" becomes "mission Possible."
•2nd Session... "Whatever It Takes: Reaching the One!" (Acts 8:26-31)
I put the one dollar bill in the bottle and told the kids that I can't get it out. The kids noticed that there is more than one bill in there, but they didn't know that the 20 dollar bill was wrapped by a one dollar bill.
I asked them, "What can you do with a one dollar bill?" I told the kids that even one dollar can be given to missions!
When I reached into the bottle and pulled out the rolled up bills, the kids were so surprised to see the $20 bill. I said that it looks like the bottle was worth a lot more than I thought! I couldn't see that from the outside. And I was about to throw it away because I didn't think it was worth doing whatever it might take to save it!
Sometimes God sends missionaries and sometimes He sends you and me. It might not be easy, but we need to see all people the way God sees them! We need to take a chance. By going to missions, God shows us glimpses (at times, large and overwhelming visions) of his heart for his children (us--AND our brothers and sisters at their perspective countries).
Parents, let's also pray for the thousands of missionaries who do whatever it takes to share God's love with others.

Faith Land kids will have a Bowling day on March 1st, Saturday between 3pm and 5pm. Please RSVP to your room moms as soon as possible to make a reservation~^^
$14 will cover the bowling shoes and a bowling ball. And snack (Pizza) will be provided. Parents and siblings are also welcome to join!

모두들 행복한 화요일을 보내고 계시는지요?^^ 지난 주일은 새누리의 선교주일이었습니다. 그래서 아이들과 함께 선교에 대하여 이야기하였습니다!
•1부 예배... "Mission Possible/가능한 임무!" (누가복음 24:47-48)
"Mission Impossible/불가능한 임무" 라는 탐 크루즈 주연의 영화를 기억하십니까?
주인공은 언제나 수행하기 불가능해 보이는 임무을 받고 비밀스럽게, 하지만 그를 돕는 뛰어난 수행도움이들과 함께 신나는 액션을 펼치며 임무를 무사히 마치는 스파이 영화입니다.
우리들도 모두 예수님께 "Mission/사명"을 받은 자들입니다. 그것은 이 세상의 모든 사람들에게 우리를 사랑하셔서 죄를 용서하신 예수님의 사랑을 전하는 것입니다! 이 일은 개인으로는 어려워보이지만 우리가 선교에 대해 한마음으로, "교회"가 함께 하게되면 많은 사람들의 재능들과 믿음으로 인해 불가능을 가능으로 바꾸는 "Impossible Mission Force"가 될 것을 확신합니다!
•2부 예배... "어떠한 상황에도 한 영혼 구원하기! (사도행전 8:26-31)
1달러 지폐를 빈 물병안에 넣어 뚜껑을 꼭 닫아 쉽게 열리지 못하게 테이프로 감은 후, 아이들에게 보여주며 물었습니다. 선교헌금으로 1달러를 가져왔지만 뚜껑을 열지못해 그냥 병을 버리는 것이 어떠냐고 했습니다. 그러자 아이들이 가위로 테이프를 자르자고 제안해서 그렇게 했더니 드디어 뚜껑이 열리고 그 안에서 1달러 지폐안에 숨겨져 있던 20달러 지폐가 모습을 드러내 아이들이 너무 좋아했습니다! 우리는 밖으로만 보여지는 모습으로 판단할 때가 많습니다. 하지만 하나님은 이세상 모든 사람들을 똑같이 사랑하십니다.
그래서 선교사님들을 다른 나라로 보내시고, 또 저와 여러분 또한 선교를 위해 부르셨습니다.
쉽지는 않지만 우리도 하나님의 눈으로, 예수님을 알지 못하는 이들을 바라보아야 하겠습니다. 부모님들과 함께 예수님의 사명을 위해 헌신하시는 선교사님들을 위해 기도하기 원합니다.
