Hello Everyone,

The weather is getting cold but I feel so warm because Christmas is right around the corner!

This past Sunday, the Faith kids and I had a great Thanksgiving worship and lunch together~
Thank you to all the parents who prepared the delicious lunch for us!

During the first session, I talked about Isaiah's preaching to Israelites (Isaiah Chapter 53).
God promised that the Messiah would come from King David's family and is described in Isaiah's prophecy. God planned a very long time ago that Jesus would die on the cross for our sins. Seven hundred years before Jesus was born, the prophet Isaiah wrote that this would happen! Jesus was the servant who suffered so that those who trust in Him could be forgiven.

The Bible story of the second session was how Jesus fed the 5,000 (John 6:1-13)!
In his Gospel, John tells the story of a day when Jesus was being followed by a huge crowd of 5,000 men. In addition, women and children were also present.
Jesus asked His disciple Philip where they could buy food to feed the gathering. Philip replied that they did not have enough money. Andrew pointed to a boy in the crowd with a basket of five loaves of barley bread and two fish. Jesus took what the boy had and prayed to thank God, and then started passing the bread out to everyone. Jesus recognized an opportunity to teach a tremendous lesson by performing one of His most spectacular miracles!

Through both of the stories, God's greatest gift to us is His Son, Jesus.
By trusting in Jesus as Lord our Savior, believers receive the gift of reconciliation with our God and of salvation. :)

Let's be thankful for Jesus always and not just in this special season.

And our church campaign for December is to "Look around the families and neighbors!" Let's love each other and care for each other!

During this special season, many families will be traveling. I encourage that you can worship God on Sunday wherever you are~

At the Christmas joint worship, there will be a baptism.
If your child is ready for baptism in the 5th grade class, please let me know! 

And I am planning to decorate the Christmas tree in the Faith chapel this Saturday (11/30). If your child wants to participate, please bring them to the Faith chapel at 9am~ :)

안녕하세요~ 

점점 추워지는 요즈음이지만 크리스마스가 다가온다는 사실이 제마음을 따뜻하게 만듭니다!
지난 주일에는 아이들과 추수감사예배를 드리고, 친교실에서 선생님들과 우리 아이들이 점심도 함께 먹었습니다! 맛있는 식사를 준비해 주신 모든분들께 감사의 말씀을 전합니다.

1부예배에서는 선지자 이사야가 이스라엘 민족에게 전하는 메시지에 대하여 아이들과 나누었습니다 (이사야서 53장).
하나님께서 메시아가 다윗왕의 자손으로 오실 것을 약속하셨으며, 그 모습 또한 이사야를 통해 말씀하십니다.
이미 오래전부터 예수님께서 우리 죄를 위하여 십자가에서 돌아 가실 것을 하나님은 계획하시고, 예수님이 탄생하시기 700년 전에 이미 이사야를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다!

예수님은 섬기는 자로 이땅에 오셔서 고난 받으셨으며, 누구든지 예수님을 믿는 자들은 죄사함을 받게 됩니다!

2부예배에서는 예수님께서 5,000명을 먹이신 오병이어의 기적에 대하여 메시지를 전하였습니다 (요한복음 6:1-13).
예수님의 제자 요한은 그의 복음서에서 예수님께서 많은 무리들에게 둘러싸여 (많은 여자들과 아이들도 또한 함께 하였습니다.) 있던 일을 이야기합니다.

예수님께서 무리들을 먹이시려고, 제자 빌립에게 물으십니다. 그러나 빌립은 음식을 살 충분한 돈이 없다라고 이야기합니다. 하지만 안드레는 한 소년이 도시락으로 가지고 온 다섯개의 빵과 2개의 물고기를 예수님께 보여 드립니다. 예수님께서 그 음식위에 축사하시고
무리들에게 나누어주셨을 때에 모두가 배불리 먹고 남은 음식이 12바구니가 되는 기적을 행하셨습니다!

우리는 이 두 이야기를 통하여 하나님께서 우리에게 주신 가장 큰 선물은 바로 예수님이시라는 사실과 이러한 예수님을 믿기만 하면 영생을 얻는다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

감사의 달 뿐아니라 항상 예수님께 감사드리는 우리가 되기를 소망합니다!

그리고 오는 12월 새누리의 켐페인은 "주위를 돌아보자!" 입니다. 가족들과 이웃들을 사랑하고 보살피는 한 달이 되시기를 바랍니다!

크리스마스 연합예배에서 있을 침례식에 관심이 있는 5학년 부모님들께서는 저에게 연락을 부탁드립니다!

또한 11월과 12월에는 가족여행이 많은 계절입니다. 계시는 곳에서 꼭 주일예배를 드리실 것을 부탁드립니다~ :)

오는 토요일 (11/30)에는 크리스마스 장식을 Faith Chapel에서 합니다.
참여를 원하는 자녀들은 9시까지 교회로 데려와 주세요!
