Hi Everyone,

I hope you all have been having a wonderful week! :)

It's almost Jesus' birthday!
We decorated the Christmas tree in the Faith chapel last Saturday.
And some of our youth kids and CM kids had fun decorating the Faith chapel and Joy chapel~
Thank you so much! :)

I shared the story of Mary and Joseph at the first worship last Sunday (Luke 2:10-11). Joseph and Mary were just another young couple, probably teenagers. An angel just showed up and told Mary that she was going to have a baby. This wasn't just any baby either. It was God's Son. It should be no surprise that Mary had questions. She wasn't even married yet. 
And Joseph found out Mary was pregnant. He knew he was not the father, so he decided not to marry her. Then, an angel appeared to him in a dream and told him the story was true. Mary was pregnant with God's Son. The angel told Joseph to go ahead and marry her. God chose Mary and Joseph to be the earthly parents of Jesus!

At the second worship, I talked about Jesus walking on water. After feeding 5.000, Jesus sends His disciples ahead of Him in a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee. And Jesus went up to the mountainside by himself to pray. Even in His busy schedule, spending time with God is priority for Jesus. Several hours later in the night, the disciples encounter a storm and Jesus comes to them, walking on the water. Peter replies, "Lord, if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water." So Jesus invites Peter to come. Peter gets out of the boat and begins walking on the water toward Jesus. But when Peter takes his eyes off Jesus and sees the wind and waves, he began to sink. Focusing on the difficult circumstances will cause us to get under our problems. But like Peter, if we cry out to Jesus, He catches us by the hand and raises us above the seemingly impossible surroundings. When Jesus gets in the boat, the storm ceases. When we have Jesus "in our boat" the storms of life will be calmed and we can worship Him!

안녕하세요~ 12월 첫째주, Faith Land의 소식입니다.

이제 곧 예수님의 생일입니다! 지난 토요일, 우리 몇명의 청소년부 자녀들과 유년부 아이들이 크리스마스 트리 장식을 Faith Chapel과 Joy Chapel에 하는 것을 도와 주었습니다. 함께 즐거운 시간이었습니다!

지난 주일, 1부 예배에서는 조셉과 마리아에 대하여 설교하였습니다 (누가복음 2:10-11). 아마도 16살정도의 마리아가 결혼도 하지 않았는데, 임신을 하게 될 것을, 그것도 하나님의 아들, 예수님을 잉태할 사실을 천사를 통해 알게 됩니다. 조셉 또한 마리아의 임신 소식에 마리아와 결혼하지 않을 것을 결심합니다. 하지만 천사가 조셉의 꿈에 나타나 마리아를 데려올 것을 두려워하지 말라고 얘기해 줍니다! 그렇게 하나님은 조셉과 마리아를 이땅에서의 예수님의 육신의 부모로 선택을 하셨습니다!

2부에서는 오병이어의 기적을 행하신 예수님께서 제자들에게 갈릴리 호수를 배로 건너 가 있으라고 말씀하시고, 산으로 혼자 가셔서 기도하시며, 하나님과의 시간을 가지십니다! 몇시간 후에 폭풍을 만난 제자들은 물위를 걸어오시는 예수님을 보고 놀라게 되고, 베드로는 자기도 물위를 걷게 해달라고 예수님께 청합니다. 하지만 예수님을 향해 물위를 걸어가던 베드로는 바람과 거센 물결앞에 호수에 빠지게 되고 예수님께 살려달라고 소리를 지릅니다.
예수님을 바라보던 우리들은 쉽게 우리의 삶가운데 만나게 되는 어려움 앞에 좌절하고 넘어지지만, 베드로처럼 예수님께 도움을 청하면, 예수님은 언제든지 우리의 삶가운데로 들어오셔서 폭풍을 잠재우시며, 우리가 예수님께 예배드릴 수 있도록 허락하십니다!

예수님으로 인하여 행복하고 축복받는 12월, 한달이 되시기를 기도드립니다~
