안녕하세요~

벌써 여름방학을 시작한 아이들도, 그리고 마지막 남은 학기를 보내고 있는 아이들도 모두 하나님안에서 행복한 여름방학이 되기를 기도합니다~

성경속의 에스더여왕 이야기는 어느 드라마보다도 흥미진진한 이야기로 알려져 있습니다. 

페르시아왕은 아름답고 신실한 에스더를 여왕으로 삼았습니다. 그녀는 부모님을 잃고 사촌 모르드개의 보호아래 자란 유대인이었습니다. 유대인들을 모두 죽이려는 하만의 음모를 안 모르드개는 에스더에게 유대인들을 구할 것을 간절히 구합니다.

에스더는 모든 유대인들과 모르드개에게 3일간 금식하며 기도할 것을 명합니다!

그런 후에 왕과 하만을 위하여 잔치를 베풀고 왕에게 하만의 음모를 고하여 모든 유대인들을 하만으로부터 구하여 냅니다.

하나님은 하만의 음모로부터 그의 백성들을 구하여 내셨습니다. 하만처럼, 사탄들은 우리 믿는 자들을 멸망시키려고 우는 사자처럼 돌아다닙니다. 예수님께서 십자가에서 돌아가셨을 때에 사탄들은 그들이 이겼다고 생각했지만 하나님께서 예수님을 죽음에서 일으키셔서 그들을 계략을 멸망시키셨습니다! 에스더처럼 하나님께 쓰임받는 귀한 우리 자녀들이 되기를 간절히 소망합니다!

오는 주일, 2부 예배에서는 다시 The Story Book으로 설교를 할 예정입니다.
11과, From Shepherd to King을 자녀들과 꼭 집에서 함께 읽으실 것을 부탁드립니다.

Hello All,

Some of your kids are on summer break now and some of them are busy due to the last week of the school year~

I pray that you and your kids have a blessed summer in The Lord~

The story of queen Esther is always so dramatic than any other dramas!^^

The king of Persia chose Esther to be queen. Esther was a Jew and had been an orphan, so her cousin Mordecai adopted her.

She was very beautiful and faithful to God. One day, Mordecai heard that Haman, a very important leader who worked for the king, was planning to kill all the Jews. 

Mordecai encouraged her to save the Jewish people. So Esther asked Mordecai to gather the Jewish people and fast for three days. They would pray to God for help.

Esther invited king and Haman to the feast and told the king about the Haman's evil plan.

God was in control over Haman's evil plan to destroy the Jews. Like Haman, Satan wants to destroy believers. He thought he had won when Jesus died on the cross, but God raised Jesus from the dead and defeated Satan once and for all. I pray that our kids can be used by God like queen Esther!

From this Sunday, I will continue to preach The Story Book again at the second worship time (Chapter 11, From Shepherd to King).
