Happy Friday! Everyone~
Daniel was rescued from the lions(Daniel Chapter 6)! That was the story for the first session this past Sunday. We often forget how scary the lions are. Daniel trusted God and God showed His power to rescue Daniel from the lions, but Daniel was just a small part of a much bigger story. God ultimately rescued us from a much bigger problem- sin and death- through His Son, Jesus.
For the second session, Joshua had died. Without a strong leader, the Israelites disobeyed God. God let their enemies, the philistines, have power over them. But some of the people still worshiped God. So God gave them a leader called a judge.
Samson was one of the judges and God had special instructions Samson : He was to never cut his hair. God made Samson very strong. But he fell in love with a woman named Delilah. She begged Samson to tell her the truth. So Samson did.
Samson fell asleep on Delilah's lap so Philistines cut off Samson's hair and captured him. But God still had plans for Samson and his hair began to grow. The philistines tied him up to two pillars that held a large temple up and he was able to break free. When he did the temple fell on him and large number of Philistines, this was how God freed the Israelites from the Philistines.
God made each of us for a reason too. He made each of us exactly how he wanted. And, remember, God doesn't make mistakes.

안녕하세요~
지난 주일(3/23) 1부에서는 다니엘과 사자굴(다니엘서 6장)에 대하여 아이들과 나누었습니다. 하지만 하나님께서 다니엘을 사자굴에서 구하신 이야기는 정말 작은 부분에 불과합니다. 하나님께서는 예수님을 통하여 그보다 더 큰 죄와 죽음으로 부터 우리 모두를 구하셨습니다.
2부예배에서는 이스라엘의 지도자, 여호수아가 죽은 뒤 다시 불신앙의 자리로 돌아 선 이스라엘 민족이 강한 지도자를 하나님께 구하였을 때에, 하나님께서는 사사들을 들어 사용하십니다.
힘이 센 삼손은 태어나면서부터 머리카락을 자르지 말라는 하나님의 특별한 비밀을 가지고 있었지만 그가 사랑하는 데릴라를 이용하여 팔레스타인들은 비밀을 알아내고 삼손의 머리카락을 자르고 성전 기둥에 두 팔을 묶어 사람들에게 보이려고 합니다.
다시 머리카락이 자라난 삼성은 하나님의 계획대로 그의 강한 힘으로 많은 팔게스타인들과 성전을 무너뜨리고 이스라엘 민족을 구하여 내십니다!
하나님께서는 우리 모두를 향한 이유와 계획을 가지고 계십니다! 그리고 절대 실수하지 않으시는 분이라는 사실을 또한 기억하시기를 간절히 기도합니다!
