Summer break is coming up!
I hope you are not too stressed out with all the works for kids~^^

We celebrated the May birthdays and had ice cream because May 5th was Children's day in Korea this past Sunday.
I delivered a message on the book of Ezra in Old Testament.
God's people had been living in Babylon for 70 years. Then The Lord said, "When 70 years for Babylon are complete,
I will confirm to you and will confirm My promise concerning you to restore you to this place"(Jer. 29:10). The time had come for God's people to go back home.

Cyrus, the king of the Persian empire, overthrew Babylon. Cyrus took over the kingdom, including the lands of Israel and Judah. In the following year, the Lord did something miraculous in Cyrus's heart. God prompted Cyrus to issue a decree: All the Jewish exiles are free to return to their ancestral homes.
Ezra 2:64-65 says that nearly 50,000 people traveled back to Judah under the leadership of Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel was the grandson of King Jehoiachin, who had been taken to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar.
When they got to Jerusalem, they began working to rebuild the temple that the Chaldeans had destroyed.

The temple was the place where God met with His people. Jesus came to earth to rescue God's people from sin. When Jesus returns, He will restore the earth and will dwell with His people forever.

여름 방학이 다가옵니다!
한 학년을 마치는 이맘때 즈음이면 다들 지치기 쉬운데요, 마지막까지 모두들 기운내셔서 승주찬하시기를 기도합니다~^^
지난 주일에는 5월 생일인 아이들도 축하해주고, 5/5이 어린이 날이어서 아이들과 아이스크림 파티도 하였습니다.
예배시간 메시지는 구약의 에스라에 나오는 내용으로 하나님께서 말씀하신 대로 이스라엘 민족이 70년간의 바벨론 포로 생활을 마치고 예루살렘으로 돌아가는 것을 전하였습니다(예레미야서 29:10).
하나님께서 바벨론을 정복한 바사왕(페르시아) 고레스의 마음을 감동시키셔서 이스라엘은 다시 유다 예루살렘으로 돌아가서 여호와의 전을 건축하라는 명을 내리게 하십니다.
에스라서 2:64-65 말씀에 따르면 50.000에 가까운 사람들이 스룹바벨의 지도력아래 예루살렘으로 돌아옵니다!
그리고 그들은 여호와의 전을 다시 건축하기 시작하였습니다.
성전은 하나님께서 그의 백성들을 만나는 장소입니다. 예수님께서는 죄인된 우리를 구원하시기 위해 이 땅에 오셨습니다. 예수님께서 다시 오실 그 날에는 이 땅을 다시 회복하시고 그의 백성인 우리들과 영원히 함께 하실 것입니다.
