Hello Everyone,

I have very important announcements:
1. The date of the AWANA Orientation(8/23) for parents has been moved to 9/5(Fri) at 7:30pm. This is a mandatory meeting for new AWANA members and for those who didn't attend this meeting last school year!

Please come, you will learn how to lead your kids at home with this AWANA program.

2. If you are interested in being a leader at AWANA, please let me know.

3. There will be a Teachers' Appreciation Banquet this Sunday at 5pm. As you got the previous email, we need help to prepare the food on Sat. between 9am and 12pm. Also parents~ you are welcome to come with dessert on Sunday at the banquet!

4. The AWANA Registration will be ended on this Sunday (8/24). If you haven't registered your kids, please do so quickly!

5. The Faith Land PTA meeting and Open House are scheduled on 9/14(Sun).
Please mark your calendars.

With the new upcoming 1st graders, we had a blessed Sunday last week.
From this Sunday, name tags will be given to the kids and we will use a passport to record their attendance, whether they brought a Bible, memorized the verse, and read a Story Book before they came to church.

Please encourage your kids to do all those!

I shared the story about Jesus at the temple(1st Worship session) and about rebuilding the Jerusalem wall by Nehemiah at the 2nd Worship time last Sunday.

I really hope that you all stay in peace and please continue to pray for Justin and his family.

우선 광고사항부터 말씀드립니다!
1. 부모님들을 위한 AWANA Orientation이 많은 분들이 참석을 못하시는 관계로 이번 8/23(토)에서 9/5(금) 7:30pm으로 바뀌었음을 알려드립니다! 그날은 꼭 참석하셔서 부모님들께서 집에서 아이들을 어떻게 도우실 수 있는지를 들으셔서, AWANA를 통해 우리 자녀들이 잘 자라날 수 있기를 소망합니다!

2. AWANA Leader(Teacher) Taining을 받고자 하는 분들은 저에게 연락을 부탁드립니다. 이번에는 저희 교회가 아닌 San Jose에서 8/23에 있을 예정입니다.

3.이번 주일(8/24)에는 교회에서 수고하시는 모든 선생님들께 감사의 마음을 전하는 Teachers Appreciation Banquet이 오후 5시에 친교실에서 있을 예정입니다. 
토요일(8/23) 오전 9시부터 12까지, 그리고 주일 저녁식사 준비(오후 3사부터)와 음식을 serve해 주실 부모님은 이 호연 자매님 또는 룸맘들께 알려주세요! 그리고 주일에 오실때에 디저트(쿠키나 케잌류)를 한가지씩 가져와 주시면 감사하겠습니다~

4. AWANA 등록이 이번 주일(8/24)로 마감이 됩니다. 아직 신청하지 못하신 분들은 서둘러 주세요!

5. 9/14(일)에는 Faith Land PTA Meeting과 Open House가 있을 예정입니다!

지난 주일에는 새로운 1학년을 맞아 새학기를 시작하였습니다. 오는 주일부터는 예배시간에 이름표를 사용하며 성경책 가져오는 것, 성경구절 암송, 출석, 그리고 Story Book 미리 읽어오기를 Passport에 기록하여 아이들에게 상도 줄 계획입니다.

이번 주일에는 Story Book의 Chapter 22를 미리 읽어 오세요~

지난 주일 1부에서는 예수님께서 어린 시절 예루살렘성전에서 선생들과 얘기하신 이야기(누가복음 2:41-52)와 2부에서는 느헤미야가 예루살렘 성벽을 재건한 이야기(느헤미야 2:17)를 아이들과 나누었습니다.

학교가 다시 시작되어 많이 분주한 나날이지만 그 가운데 주님의 주시는 평안이 모든분들과 또한 병과 싸우고 있는 Justin과 부모님, 함께 하시기를 간절히 기도드리며,
