Facebook's Zuckerberg says "people who go to church are more likely to volunteer and give to charity — not just because they're religious, but because they're part of a community."  Too many people see social justice as the purpose of the church.  Sadly, he didn't get this wrong perception on his own, but from what many churches have been promoting over the gospel.  This is the impact of the social gospel movement and we are so concerned about how the world perceive us that we bend the true biblical teaching.  The church assemble for the purpose of the unity in Christ to worship God... it is not to do social welfare or programs.  The gospel is the saving power of God and it does not become more attractive because we get involved in the social welfare or we decide that "we don't talk about the wrath of God or repentance".  Just as Christ did not heal Syro-Phoenician woman's daughter, so she will believe, but He had mercy for this lost and suffering woman.
