Liberal "Christians" wanting to support abortion, same-sex marriage, transgenderism, islamophobia protection are seeking government support instead of turning to the Word of God.  When the social/comfort-life gospel is stressed over the repentance gospel of Christ, this is what happens.

Jesus said “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”(John 18:36) 

True Christians adhere to the scriptural authority.  We are "not be yoked" to Republicans or Democrats.  We simply support the one that is more obedient to the scriptural teaching with understanding that even governments are institution that need to fear the one true God.  Our citizenship is in heaven as adopted children of God.

A sad article... I sometimes wonder if so-called "Protestants" did right by breaking off from Roman Catholics when a secular newspaper praises these "protestants".
