Matthew 5:13-16 ESV

¹³ “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. ¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that^[b] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Just want to share a sermon given by Pastor Jaime today. It was very informative to the Youth group and engaging to the kids. Because of your prayers from parents and dedication from the Youth Pastoral staff and teachers. The atmosphere of worship and dive into the word of God has been changing for more positive.  

As a teacher and a parent, I would like to strongly encourage the parents to discuss with your teens about the overall service and messages and study discussion with the teacher. Also, I would like to invite the parents to join the Youth worship and see. Your involvement is very crucial to well-being youth spiritually not just academics.

In order for your teens to be the salt and the light of the world show them that you care and please be involved with them. Not just drop them off but come and see. Encourage your sons and daughter to stand firm in Jesus Christ so that through their lives God can be glorified and be true salt and light of this fallen world.
